This image accompanies a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! on motor1 about a supposed Toyota competitor to the Miata, that will sit below the 86 in the lineup. Except the image is a Miata RF that’s been given the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! treatment. Yes, Toyota does take the Mazda 2 and turn it into the Scion/Yaris iA, but still. This picture is ridiculous.

So the z4, miata, fiata, this guy, and what else are all going to look exactly the same now?

They should have used an image of S-FR concept. It would have been better, more accurate, and require less work.

The headlights are at least mostly from the S-FR.

Isn’t the Toyoburu already a Miata competitor ? Could be talking about the S-FR concept from a couple years ago

I have an exclusive spy shot of the new Miata competitor from Toyota. It’s so weird, I saw like 10 or so of these just driving around, no camo or anything. ‘Yota’s getting sloppy with their preproduction prototypes.

The article is talking about a smaller car to slot below the 86.

Since you’re now the second person to mention this, I’ve updated the post to specify that the supposed Miata competitor will slot below the 86.

I know, which is why I mentioned the S-FR.

There was the S-FR concept a few years ago. I’ll take two

Still not as lazy as my concept coupe drawing...

Is it sad that I can tell it’s not a real Toyota design because it isn’t ugly enough? The iA, for example, is far uglier than the Mazda 2.
